Artifact
This piece of evidence is a meet the teacher letter I created for my final practicum at Mountainview Elementary School. The template I used came from @Jordan Newman on Teacher Pay Teachers.
Insights Gained
This has helped me to think about the things a parent may want to know about me when I am a full-time teacher with my own classroom. This is a template I will be able to use when I have my own classroom.
Connections to Teaching Practice
This is a great way for the parents and guardians of the students in my class to get to know me and to know who will be in the classroom everyday working with their children. This artifact demonstrates how educators value the role of parents in education and communicate effectively.

Being a timer at the track meet helped me to be more involved with parents and the community as well as get practice for any future track meets I will attend.
Connection to Teaching Practice
It is important to involve parents/guardians in the learning process of their children because it will help parents/guardians to further their child's learning at home. The artifact fits in standard 4 because it demonstrates my involvement with parents/guardians as well as the community
